SPDT organizes workshop on Microsoft Word and Forms

 

The Staff Professional Development Team (SPDT) of the Preparatory Studies Center (PSC) conducted a workshop on the use of Microsoft Word and Forms on 6th May 2024 at F035, PSC Building, UTAS-Shinas Campus. ETC staff Mr. Sidney Souribio handled the Microsoft Word part, while PSC lecturer Dr. Desai Karanam Giri tackled Microsoft Forms. Mr. Sidney commenced with an overview of the interface, followed by hands-on exercises focusing on basic formatting techniques such as font styles, paragraph alignment, and page layout adjustments. Practical demonstrations and interactive discussions facilitated an engaging learning environment, allowing participants to troubleshoot common issues and discover time-saving tips. Moreover, the workshop emphasized the importance of document organization and accessibility, empowering attendees to create polished and impactful documents with confidence. On the other hand, Dr. Giri provided the participants with comprehensive guidance on harnessing the full potential of this versatile survey and data collection tool. Through step-by-step tutorials and real-world examples, participants learned to design aesthetically pleasing forms, incorporate various question types, and implement branching logic to streamline data collection processes. Furthermore, the workshop explored advanced features such as response validation, collaboration tools, and result analysis, empowering attendees to gather meaningful insights from their collected data. Overall, feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the workshop's effectiveness in enhancing their proficiency and productivity in utilizing Microsoft Word for various personal and professional endeavors.
