PSC lecturers conduct workshop on ‘Strategies for Effective Resume Building’

 

Preparatory Studies Center (PSC) lecturers Mr. Basit Sultan Tanoli and Mr. Salim Al-Badi organized a workshop on ‘Strategies for Effective Resume Building’ on 8th May 2024, held at PSC Building, UTAS- Shinas Campus. With a goal of enhancing the employability of participants, the workshop was thoughtfully designed to cater to the diverse needs and ambitions of the student body. Key topics included crafting compelling resumes, understanding essential components, highlighting individual skills and achievements, and tailoring resumes for specific job roles. The resource speakers provided personalized advice and showcased practical examples relevant to various sectors, including IT, Business, Engineering, and part-time positions, acknowledging the diverse career aspirations of the attendees. The event attracted a significant turnout, with forty-one participants. Participants’ feedback reflected increased confidence, affirming the workshop's effectiveness in preparing for professional pursuits. Mr. Hamdan Alabri, Head of Continuous Education & Community Service Department, and Mr. Saif Al Dahli, English lecturer and Coordinator of the Student Support Committee, graced the occasion. They presented Mr. Basit and Mr. Salim with certificates of appreciation for their invaluable contributions to the center.
