Engineering Department conducts “Integrating Research Informed Teaching into Higher Education and Plagiarism Problems for Educators”

 

The Engineering Department organized a seminar on “Integrating Research Informed Teaching into Higher Education and Plagiarism Problems for Educators” to the Academic community on 24/04/2024, from 10.00 am -11.30 am, held at Open Lab, Engineering Building.

The Speaker Dr. Joseph Sekhar delivered a wonderful session about the role of an educator in a higher education institution. He gave an insight to different methods of tuning the teaching methodology to transform a classical teaching into a research-informed teaching. He also emphasized about the plagiarism issues while integrating the research into teaching, while preparing research papers and the different ways of maintaining the academic integrity in teaching and research.

A total of 22 academic staff from various discipline of the department participated in the knowledge sharing event.

There was a Q&A session at the end of the workshop which was very engaging due to active involvement of academicians and the resource person.
