Welcome to the Civil and Architectural Engineering Unit at the University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Shinas. The unit offers an undergraduate program in Civil Engineering for the following levels: Bachelor, Advanced Diploma and Diploma which aims to provide high quality Civil Engineering education through teaching, research, and community-based services.
The unit has well-equipped and sophisticated extensive teaching and research laboratories, such as: Construction Materials, Engineering Surveying, Construction Technology and Hydraulics, Geotechnical, Structural Mechanics, Building Information Modelling and Transportation. The unit also has different software and programming facilities that play a major role in the professional and technical development of our students.
Our qualified and experienced faculty members from diverse disciplines in civil engineering are with national and international reputations. Beside their teaching and non-academic duties, they are involved in research projects of great impact to the society and acquired research grants and funding. Moreover, the unit offers consultancy services and short courses to the local community and industry.
