The primary objective of the Accounting Unit within the Department of Business Administration is to meet the evolving needs of students and the department through teaching, learning and research. The program imparts comprehensive knowledge in accounting and finance, providing students with integrated understanding of a business entity's economic activities. Through rigorous coursework, students are equipped with analytical skills to effectively utilize financial information for planning, controlling, and evaluating businesses. Led by dedicated faculty, the Accounting Unit fosters critical thinking, decision-making, and a sense of stewardship and accountability among students. The curriculum covers fundamental and advanced accounting concepts and aligns with global standards such as those set by the ACA and ACCA, ensuring students receive rigorous training that prepares them for the demands of the accounting profession on a global scale.
