It gives me immense honor to welcome you to the Department of Economics and Business Administration (DEBA) at UTAS-Salalah where the ultimate objective is to foster the business leaders and corporate professionals of tomorrow.
The department currently offers five majors in accounting, marketing and human resources (HRM), tourism and hospitality and finally the supply chain and logistics mgt. specialization. Students in most of these specialization can further extend their education to a Bachelor level. Accounting major is accredited by Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), which is one of the leading global professional accounting bodies.
In DEBA, we emphasize on the department core pillars even further, in terms of student focus learning, research engagement, community and business outreach, forming partnerships with industry at various levels, and establishing international collaboration.
