Engineering department conducted a Training and Demonstration on Neplan Software

Staff development unit of Engineering department in association with the Human Resource department conducted a Workshop on "Training and Demonstration on Neplan software" on 10th October 2023 to the staffs of E&E section. The SDU committee extends its kindness and gratitude to the resource person, Dr. Murali.N, E&E/ Engineering department. The session started with a welcome address by Mr. Fakrudeen.J, SDU Coordinator of Engineering department. In this training session, the speaker has given a detailed demonstration on IEEE 9 bus Radial distribution system using NEPLAN software. Load Flow studies to analyze the steady-state performance of the power system under various operating conditions. It can be used in balanced/unbalanced, radial /meshed, AC and DC networks from HV to LV systems. The module has a numerically robust solver and provides several methods in order to achieve the best calculation accurately and efficiently. The resource person explains how to input data, run the load flow program and view the results. Also performed short circuit study and by choosing any one bus and view the results. The bus loading is higher for the tail end and the shunt capacitor is added in the last bus. The percentage loading is reduced. The training program was very informative and cater the needs of all the participants.
