The rapid acceleration in the field of information technology that been witnessed all over the world in this time beside the massive development of different scientific fields that lead to high attentions from specialists to adopt the information technology in a way that can boost and help business sector to generate maximum outputs. We hereby at Information Technology section pleased to offer two major specializations titled as Networking and Information Security with different exist point degree level that include; diploma, Advance diploma and bachelor. Also, it is worth mentioning here that the IT section is affiliated with CISCO Networking Academy and EC council, and is currently operating as an Academy Support Center (ASC) and Instructor Training Center (ITC) for all existing CISCO Academies in the entire Sultanate of Oman. Some of the online courses from Cisco global academy are integrated in the Networking specialization curriculum and some are also utilized in information Security courses.
Our Diploma in networking program prepares students as network specialists in the field of information and networking technology through the study of related and relevant networking concepts, with practice on its various aspects like hardware, operating system, security and management. The Advanced-Diploma in networking program provides qualified networking graduates who gained a high level of understanding of the current and emerging future networking technologies and developed skills which are highly-needed in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) industry. The Bachelor in networking program provides qualified networking graduates who gained a high level of understanding of the current and emerging future networking technologies and developed skills which are highly-needed in Information & Communication Technology (ICT) industry.
The Advanced-Diploma in information Security is targeted to provide the graduates with the necessary knowledge and skills required to perform information security tasks desired by the IT industry such as performing network security assessment, developing secure web applications, securing the network perimeters and implementing the necessary security detection and prevention services. The Bachelor in information security aims to produce highly competent and progressive graduates possessing up-to-date knowledge and technical skills, by offering an integrated and comprehensive curriculum of networking and information security to meet the requirements of the IT industry.
