The Applied Chemistry specilization covers basic and advanced courses in Chemistry and allied disciplines which provide a strong foundation in general, analytical, inorganic, organic, industrial, and physical chemistry combined with biochemical, pharmaceutical, and environmental concepts. The theoretical knowledge is enhanced through hands-on application in the form of practical activities, training in the laboratories, project research and on-the job training in the final year of the students.
Lastly, the program may also serve as a feeder to an existing graduate program (Master of Science in Chemistry) in colleges or universities in the gulf region and in other countries.
